Seeing that the topic was deleted I decided to repost it with an all new chapter (I was planning to release three chapters at once).

Jurassic Park
:New Life:

Victim

Sunlight beamed on Nicole Atteri’s face as she wandered through the dusty hospital halls. This was the only hospital for miles around, and the only medical center that serviced the local fishing village nearby. She was walking down toward the vending machine when the entrance doors flew open, and in rushed a stretcher being pushed by two medical assistants. As the stretcher flew by her, she could see a dark figure silhouetted against the white sheets.
As Nicole examined the body later that day, she noticed that it seemed severely scratched, with bite marks near the neck area. The lungs were slightly filled with water, suggesting that the man had been drowning. The water had evidently washed away much of the blood, but the red marks still showed up against the victim’s dark skin. Oddly, she found a tooth embedded in the victims shoulder.
“How did this happen?” she asked.
“Apparently he had gone on a fishing trip with his friends. They were looking for the big fish that’s near Isla Sorna,” replied the assistant next to her.
“But that’s off limits!” she objected.
“They never planned to go that far out. Now in the fog, because it was early morning, the victim swam out to place the net. He’s known to do this; that’s why he is one of the richest people in the village. The other fishermen reported that as he was swimming out, they could see a dark distant shape coming towards him. Then they heard screaming and screeching as they saw the shape start to leave with something wiggling under it. One fisherman, John Cornes, took out his rifle and aimed at the fleeing creature. Even if the bullet missed, the thing dropped Pepino, the victim, and took off. They started toward where the body fell, and by the time they found Pepino he was half drowned.”
Nicole removed the tooth and dropped it into a plastic wrapper. “I’ll send this to the animal research center in San Diego. If anyone can identify this creature, it’s them.”

Memory

“John look over at this,” said Charline as she beckoned John Rochner toward the white table. “It’s the tooth from Costa Rica. It’s quite peculiar, really.”
“What’s so strange about it?” John replied as he walked toward the table with the tooth lying on the Saran Wrap. Charline was rotating the tooth in the air when he was at the table. The white tooth gleamed in the bright light. It curved slightly, with a serrated edge along the lower curve of the tooth.
“Judging by the roots of the tooth it curved inwards toward the animals throat. This suggests it lived on a diet of fish. The attack took place in the ocean, so the animal probably mistaken the victim as a fish. Please note that it could fly,” Charline said.
“A large Bird of Prey?” John suggested, “Record sizes have been reported there.”
“No. Not a single bird has teeth. There seems like not a single species comes to mind.”
“Hey, what you got there?” Tim asked as he ran toward the white table to join the first two.
“A tooth from Costa Rica. It came from an animal near Isla Sorna,” John answered.
At the sound of the name, Tim suddenly felt dizzy; somehow panicked. He heard that name somewhere but he didn’t know where. “I need to go to the bathroom,” he said. John and Charline stared at him. It was not like him to go off on such a thing like this tooth, “I don’t think I feel too good,” and then he headed to the restrooms.
As Tim repeatedly washed his face he was thinking about Isla Sorna. “Related to Isla Nublar, but how? Something about dinosaurs. Dinosaurs attacking people. Workers. Electrified fencing, buildings. Amusement park! Dinosaurs in an amusement park! Jurassic Park! Isla Sorna the dinosaur research area. No fencing. Research expedition. Levine, Harding, Malcolm, Throne, Carr. Children. Arby, Kelly. Research operation. Dinosaurs!” he realized Isla Sorna was part of Jurassic Park. A horror he has tried to block out of his mind. Jurassic Park was an attempt to use bioengineering for amusement by cloning dinosaurs and displaying them in enclosures. Tim’s grandfather, John Hammond had founded Jurassic park and purchased both Islands. It went horribly wrong when the security was sabotaged, and the park went in disarray when the dinosaurs escaped. Thankfully, the park was bombed, but there was a second island used as a research center. There they released animals in the park for study of interaction. Jurassic Park was only the cash flow. Isla Sorna was the real reason they cloned dinosaurs. Six years after Jurassic Park there was a research operation formed to further study the dinosaurs on Isla Sorna. Lewis Dodgson, head of Biosyn, interrupted this. He had tried to collect eggs so he can use dinosaurs as a replacement for animal testing. Yet he had heard that the government had bombed it. If that really was a pteranodon then possibly many other dinosaurs had survived.
“Tim?” In Tim’s thought John had entered the room, “Just to tell you, we extracted some DNA from the tooth.”
“I’m going home,” Tim went out the door.
“But...”
“Just deduct it from my vacation time,” Tim called back. John could already see him entering his car.

Hammond

Tim turned a right onto Hemilike St. and started towards the large mansion. As he approached the front door they swung open and an aged butler greeted him were the doors used to stand. “Hello Master Tim, how can I help you?” the butler recited.
“Please Ron, call me Tim. I want to seem Hammond. Does he have the time?”
“Yes sir. Right this way,” Ron began to lead Tim up a spiral staircase. They entered into a magnificent hall with portraits and a red carpet. The walls sloped into a grand arch lined with six-foot marble pillars. Ron opened a door to the left and Tim was greeted by Hammond, who hobbled towards him with his amber-topped cane. His white hair was frizzy in the usual way and his mustache seemed slightly longer.
“You’ve come about the park. Am I right?” He gave his question stare to Tim.
“There has been an attack near Isla Sorna, supposedly a pteranodon. Grandpa if this is true, then there can be others that have survived,” Tim said in a stern voice.
“Ahh! I knew I would need to tell someone sooner or later. The U.S. bombed the wrong one. They bombed Isla Pena, another Island of the ‘Five Deaths’,” Hammond began to chortle a little, “Those officers didn’t know which island and they turned to me! Can you believe it? So then I lied.”
“You lied to the government!”
“What could I do? It has been nearly twenty years after Jurassic Park. I don’t want it to go down the drain!” by this time he was waving his hands in the air, “Besides there may be something interesting you want to see.”
“What may that be? Another Jurassic Park,” Tim retorted.
“I tapped into the cameras on Sorna and look.” What Tim saw was quite amazing. The animals seemed different since when he saw them. The raptors were hunting in a different way then he had seen. One distinct raptor was only feathered on the fore arms and hind legs unlike the rest of the pack. They were covered in a light jungle green blending with the jungle grasses. A small tuft flew slightly behind each head and a large stream flowed down the backs of their legs. The Tyrannosaur hatchling had grown to an adult. There were two adults in total on the island. There were also two spinosaurs roaming the center of the island. One was around a mound, which Tim realized held a single hatchling. It was covered in gray down and resembled a discolored chick. There was also a large colony of Maiasaurs near the southern point of the island.
“Wait on the Maiasaurs, there look like small bumps on the skin.”
“My boy. This is what I wanted to tell you. The dinosaurs are adapting and evolving! Those bumps are early forms of armor. Though extremely early, still armor. They provide very little protection, but in a million years at this rate they’ll be tanks! Tim, these are entirely new species! Look for some Compys. They’re delightful!”
“I can’t see them John. I thought there would be billions.”
“Look at the raptor kill.” The raptors had brought down a Parasaurolophus. Overhead several trees ruffled continuously and in them were filled with Procompsognathuses. Their hands were like hairless squirrel hands; they all were crouching holding on the branches with their forearms waiting for the raptors to leave the fallen Parasaur. One caught eye of a mouse and jumped to catch it. Instantly the raptors turned on it, but it scurried up a tree before getting caught.
“I better get home now,” Tim started for the door.
“Bye! Tell me your decision tomorrow.”
“Decision?” Tim swung around to face Hammond, “What decision?”
“Why the expedition. I have a team already up there observing the animals. In fact I’ll give you till four months from now. That’s when the team will come back.”
“You sent a team?! Hammond, this is outrageous! If the government finds out, your dead!” and then he left.

Evidence

Tim sat on his bed thinking about Hammond. The word ‘careless’ continued to pop in his mind. “How could he be so careless?” he thought every moment of the day. It had been a week since his visit to Hammonds, plenty of time for the team to get attacked. As he sat, his cell phone began to ring. “Hello, this is Timothy speaking. How may I help you?” but his voice seemed far off in a distant place.
“Tim, this is John,” it sounded urgent, “The DNA we began sequencing a week ago, we finished and you better look at this. I have a segment on your computer monitor.”
The DNA! Tim had entirely forgotten about it since Hammond. Yet now, he was scared of the truth. “I’ll be right there.”
Tim stared at the monitor in front of him. Lines of letters fell before him. John stood over Tim as he examined the screen. “What’s so urgent?”
“Look at this,” John pointed to the center area of the screen, “This segment right here is practically identical to amphibious DNA.”
Tim suddenly remembered that Ingen used frog DNA to create an entire DNA strand. Even if they cloned them all female, the dinosaurs were capable of a natural gender transition because of the frog DNA within them.
“And here,” John was pointing at the top then the bottom of the screen, “It slightly resembles a mixture of bird and reptilian DNA! Tim we’re looking at a new species lying in front of us! Tim we’ll be famous! We’ll win the Nobel Prize, we’ll...”
“No,” Tim interrupted.
“Why not? We can solve mysteries like bigfoot and nessie!”
“Because this isn’t a new species. It’s just a mutated, evolving, 150 million year old animal brought back from the past. There’s something I need to tell you. We better go to my apartment.”

Tim and John sat on the bed next to each other. Tim had told him about Jurassic Park. John was still in awe at the story Tim had just told him. “You mean this really happened? Are you sure you’re not pulling my leg?”
“Yes John I’m sure,” Tim had been saying this for the past thirty minutes, “I don’t blame you if you don’t believe me, but I know it all happened!”
“Who’s this Hammond guy you keep telling me about? He sounds reckless.”
“He’s my grandfather, and yes he is reckless. I can’t believe he still hasn’t learned. The expedition is arriving in four months if they haven’t all been killed. I …”
“I’m coming with you!” John blurted out, “I want to see real dinosaurs!”
“Who ever said I was going? It’s far too dangerous. You don’t know what you’re getting into!”
“At least let me visit Hammond! You haven’t even seen what the team is like! They may be better off then you think!”
“If there’s one thing I learned from Ian Malcolm, it’s this. You can never predict anything than a few seconds in the future.”
“Please! Just let me see Hammond. Let me see those tapes!”
“Oh fine. Lets go.” Tim and John went out their door and into Tim’s car. An hour later they turned a right onto Hemilike St.

Decision

John stared at the color monitors as he watched the dinosaurs in the videos. The monitors constantly switched to a different camera. A herd of Parasaurolophus and Apatosaurs were constantly at the riverbank. The Parasaurs constantly formed a circular pattern around the herd of Apatosaurs he had noticed, possibly a symbiosis. As he watched Hammond and Tim were consulting in a different room.
“You told him about the park! Tim this is outrages!” Hammond had been screaming at him for 20 minutes. No one was permitted to tell about the event.
“Hammond, he thought he had found a new species. If he had announced that the park would be known through out the world! Why did you even organize the expedition?” Tim couldn’t help wondering why Hammond had done it when he wanted to keep it such a secret, its just telling more people about the islands and the dinosaurs.
“One is because of the recent changes, two was that the island experienced volcanic activity about eleven years ago. It had changed the dinosaurs’ habitat and added about seventy-two square miles of land to the island. Flora has already covered twenty square miles. I wanted to see how it would affect dinosaur populations on the island. We should check on John. See how he’s doing.” They left the room and went down the hall toward the stairs. They entered the room that John was staying in. John suddenly pivoted towards them. “So how do you like the island so far?” Hammond was right next to him now.
“Very amazing sir, but where’s the research team?” John was searching the monitors for the footage of the team. Hammond walked behinds the monitors. He turned a dial at the back of one and instantly a view of a mobile research facility appeared. The exterior was painted with greens muddled with browns. The windows were made of glass or something else and barred. Through the windows he could see a countertop with and array of utensils. Along the roof were approximately six security cameras. Near the front Tim and John could see the halves off two monitors. Probably linked to the security cameras. Also on the rooftop were four solar panels. Near the end there was a large lump with air conditioning fitted into the cavity. The facility had eight wheels; they could see that the wheels were made for all terrain usage. “Wow, yet I see no living quarters. Also, how can those four solar panels power the lab? There much to fragile, so if there damaged the operation will be shut down!” This was a good point. Solar panels are much too fragile and if they’re damaged the facility may not get the energy it needs.
“The living quarters are nearby, you can see a corner near the left side of the screen,” What Hammond said was true. They could see a green corner three fourths of the way up the screen, “Also, all the vehicles are tapped into the Jurassic Park Geothermal Power Plant.
“After all those years it’s still working!” Tim looked worried. Six years after the catastrophe the plant was still functioning, but this was almost twenty years! Hammond already moved to the back of the shelf and turned a second dial. Now footage of a different vehicles appeared. They could see five people walking around the trailer. It too was a greenish color. It was located on the same clearing as the Research Facility, but the timberline was visible. “An easy hiding place for any predators,” thought Tim. The back was a miniature kitchen. He could see some pots and pans hanging on the wall. There were also several cabinets visible through the barred windows. The vehicle looked much like a large bus. The center was more of a bedroom and shower. Two couches lay near the front besides a rack of monitors. On the rooftop were several cameras as on the research facility. Solar panels lay within the camera line. Along side of the trailer were two explorer vehicles. Probably electrical powered, they were also colored green except for three red streaks across the hood. The windows were also barred like everything else. They were built much like a jeep covered in tank armor; being built in hopes of withstanding several tons. Hammond turned to Tim, “Have you made your decision?”
“Yes. I have decided that I shall…” John cut off Tim.
“He’ll go and I’ve decided to accompany him!” John blurted out.
Hammond was amazed! “Great! I shall arrange a flight for you. Drive to the San Diego Airport, I will have an airplane waiting. It will fly to Costa Rica and a chopper will be waiting. The chopper will send you directly to the trailers. Good Luck!”

Isla Sorna

Tim stayed at the San Diego Airport waiting for John. Rain pounded against the airplane’s windows as Tim stared out the window. A soft pitter-pattering sang as a person approached the plane. Tim felt disgusted at John; just like Hammond, never considers the possibilities of an accident. The person boarded the plane and in the light Tim could see it was John.
“Howdy do Tim? Excited to go to Sorna? Come on grumpy pants, I said I was sorry. If you’re so objective why didn’t you tell Hammond that you didn’t want to go?” John stared at Tim’s sullen face, He felt bad for getting Tim to go to Isla Sorna.
“I know Hammond, once you tell him something he’ll never accept any changes of mind,” Tim didn’t look at John since he got in. He never had seen John since the day at Hammond’s mansion. He had thrown a miniature tantrum when he arrived at his apartment. There wasn’t much damage though many personal belongings were on the floor.
The airplane began to take off. As they gained altitude Tim wondered who was going to fly the helicopter. Hammond didn’t want anyone to know about the park. So did he tell the pilot to fly there but didn’t tell him about the dinosaurs, or was it an old friend? The airplane broke through the rain clouds and in the moonlight. Up above the layer of fluff was extremely clear. The moon shown with a light few have ever seen before. Millions of stars glistened in the night sky, each like a tiny eye. All was silent besides the plane’s motor and the occasional conservation of the pilot and co-pilot.
As Tim and John approach the Helicopter Tim’s satellite phone rings.
“Hello, this is Tim.”
A female voice appears on the phone, “Hi Timmy! It’s me. I was wondering when you’ll pick me up for our date tomorrow night?”
“Oh no! I forgot to tell you Francine. I had an emergency research just a few days ago. I’m going out in the field in Costa Rica trying to locate an undiscovered species. I’m so sorry.”
“Oh that’s alright. When will you get back?”
“Oh when I’m told to or in about three months. Don’t worry, I won’t die,” He wasn’t so sure of that, “Bye!” and he hung off.
Tim boarded the helicopter. As he prepared he had the first real conversation with John even if it wasn’t very nice. As he talked suddenly the same question on the plane flight occurred to him, who was flying the copter? As he turned to look he suddenly saw his sister Alexis. “Hey Tim! You know how I said I was taking classes but didn’t give any details? Well, I was taking flying lessons! Don’t tell mother, okay?”
“Will you be staying at the island? I hope you don’t. I don’t want anymore lives to be risked on my part,” Tim was in slight awe by his sister. She was always incredibly spunky in a way, and disobedient.
“Oh no. I wouldn’t want to stay there. I’m just going to drop you off! I’m going home right after.”
The Helicopter flew over the vast sea. The last signs of the mainland had disappeared behind them. A vast blue world was shown before them. Moments later the mountain peak rose before them, black with speckles of green. The whole Island lay before them, ocean waves cashed against the volcanic cliff, a large area of land jutted out against the green forests.
“Were almost there!” Lex hollered. Yes they were almost there. Soon it would be a dream, or a nightmare.

Research Team
The helicopter zoomed over the churning cliffs and over the island. Green loomed below, before, on their sides, and behind them. They saw occasional stirring in the forest below them. They suddenly could see a timberline ahead of them with a shimmering blue ribbon ahead of them. They shot over the clearing as various herbivores scattered and fled from the unknown object. A small herd of brachiosaurs ran to their side, as an abundance of hadrosaurs and ceratopsians scattered about them. They began nearing the end of the clearing. As they approached the other side of the valley vehicles began to take form ahead of them.
The helicopter began to land, billowing the grass into a large bowl. An explorer jeep began to approach them, showing an African-American in sunglasses. He had a large beard and wore a wide-brimmed hat. Tim and John got off the helicopter and walked to the car. The interior had leather seating and had meshed fibers stretched across the gap between the seats. On the dashboard instead of a gas symbol it showed a battery. A large GPS replaced the CD player and the radio. It showed a map of the entire island, and surprisingly, every location of the dinosaurs on this island. In the back was a stock hold of several weapons.
“Hey Tim!” the man behind the steering wheel was looking at Tim, “Who’s your friend?” He looked at John in the eye. John had a bewildered look on his face, a feature as if he were in a dream.
“Oh that’s John. How did you know my name?” Tim looked at the man. He seemed very familiar, his voice too as if he had heard it before.
“I’m Arby from the original Site B expedition. Hammond showed me your picture recently,” Arby was still staring at John, “Howed he find out about the Park?”
“I told him. Something about an attack near here and stuff. I’ll tell you after we get back.”
“Yeah. Hammond doesn’t like people talking about this stuff. He gets all weird and grumpy!” He started driving toward the research center. Along the way they heard a large roar in the distance.
In the research facility had an enormous interior. Cabinets hung every were with counters below them covered with research equipment. Near the back was medical equipment including an ultrasound. A medical table was connected to the back with gaps along the sides, just enough room for two people on each. The driver seats were leather also, with an enforced GPS in place of the CD and radio. A large rack of monitors displayed every camera attached to the trailer. A computer was hacked into the Site B system displaying almost everything on Site B that’s still functioning. “Hi, Tim! I’m Carl Sanders, the weapons expert. Call me Carl. You’re famous around here! You and Arby are like the leaders cause you’re the only ones who’ve been here,” A tall Caucasian approached Tim, John, and Arby, “She’s Jessica Roy, the medical specialist. She works as the main lab researcher in general,” Jessica wore a white lab coat and glasses. She waved hi to them and turned back to the microscope, “That’s Ronald Harmy. He’s the doctor. You guys and Jack Horner work in the field!” At the sound of this Tim’s face turned to an awe struck expression. One thing was that Jack Horner was here, and second was he was working in the field! Tim had hoped he would stay in the trailers as a lab assistant, but he had to stay with the dinosaurs. “Lets go down to the living –quarters Tim,” John finally broke the silence.
Tim lay down on the white mattress in the lower bunk. He had just had a sandwich and felt a bit groggy. In a few minutes he went to sleep with a delicate hooting in his ears.

The Antidote

Tim woke up to see Carl cocking a rifle. In the cabinet was a long line of defensive weapons. Some flares, tranquilizers, rifles, and others. He looked at the bed next to him and saw John, still sleeping. He was tossing and turning and mumbling something in his dream. John Horner suddenly came out of the bathroom, his hair dripping with water. “So Tim, I’ve heard a lot about you. How you were on of the few to go to the actual park. You may know me as the famous paleontologist who came up with the scavenger theory, and I am very disappointed to find it wasn’t true. That’s why I’m the field researcher. So are you ready to experience the thrill again?”
“This is one of the most powerful rifles in the world. Known as “snitch” it’s silent, quick, and deadly. I don’t believe you need any information on how to work this baby?” Carl looked at Tim and John, “Good. You each will receive five cartridges, three will be filled with eight tranquilizers and two with darts filled with the most powerful neurotoxin in the world, the poison from the South-East Conch shell. Each cartridge holds five. Choose wisely, once a cartridge is placed within the rifle it can’t be removed. The explorer has some ammunition in it; so don’t throw a fit if you run out. Here’s your rifle and cartridges. Now go,” Carl finished his weapons lecture and Horner motioned them toward the Explorer. They held three black and two gray cartridges in their hand and a powerful rifle on their shoulders. The Explorer began to drive into the jungle and the unknown.
“So where are we going? Nesting site? Kill?” John looked at Horner who was paying attention to the road.
“A kill of the Giganitosaurus. That devil, knocked out a camera yesterday. The kill is three days old. The thing hasn’t touched it at all today. With out the camera we installed yesterday we have to go close up and personal to log its feeding habits,” Horner looked insecure, “First day in the field and you need to come close up with one of the most dominant predators on this island. Pity on you.”
“Is there a nest? Man it’s steaming!” John began to open the window.
“No! Don’t do it! Close it now!” Horner would have screamed if they weren’t on the island. John began to close the window in confusion. Right when there was a gap about an inch wide, a black gel splattered on the window and some landed on John’s hand. “Dilophosaurs. Can spit venom from fifty yards away,” Horner looked worried. In the tree beside them a slender tail disappeared into the foliage, “We found a dead Compy before. When the Dilos learned to climb the Compys developed an antidote to the poison. The poison causes burning and itching and if it gets in your body blindness, paralysis, and if a large amount death. We developed an antidote from the dead Compy. I have a supply in the back,” Horner reached in the back and pulled out towel and a needle. John’s hand had begun to burn. Horner swabbed John’s hand and injected the needle in his arm. The antidote began to take effect immediately, “The burning will stop in about five minutes.”
The Explorer started again, going through the underbrush. It suddenly stopped and Horner fetched a long cord and attached it to a monitor within the car. He then got out and cautiously started moving through the foliage. He then returned and turned on the monitor. Tim and John stared at what shown on the screen.

Gigantosaur

The green beast stood over the aged carcass. It bent down and tore off a chunk from the lower abdomen. Flies swarmed around its mouth as it swallowed the dried flesh whole. It was extremely lean, it’s ribs protruded out of its skin. It tore out another chunk and ate it.
“Is it a female?” John stared at the screen not blinking at the giant that lay before him. The Gigantosaur’s muscles rippled with each movement it made.
“Yahh! It’s a female,” Horner also stared at the monitor. It was the first time he had ever seen the dinosaur eating, “See how she’s really skinny and seems to be ignoring her own health to a certain extent? I believe there’s a nest and she’s saving most of the carcass for her children. After she eats I want to follow that thing into the forest and see if she’ll lead us to the nest!” The dinosaur had seemed to eaten her fill and was heading back to the forest with a large chunk of meat in her mouth. Horner drove to Explorer after her.
The car drove quietly through the forest. The group was only capable tail of the beast. They could see light beaming through the trees and the soft chirping of babies. They stopped as the tail vanished into the clearing. “Were out of Dilophosaur territory. Lets go!” Horner motioned them out of the car as they tiptoed to the clearing. They stopped a few feet from the timberline and looked on at a small mound in the center.
Four heads bobbed up and down as they squeaked for food. The Gigantosaur’s head gracefully went down handing meat to each hatchling. Three eggs remained covered in soft moss on the side of the nest. The remains of a carnivore skeleton lay beside the nest. The bones still had some strands of flesh and tendons indicating they were there after the nest.
“My god! The things cannibal!” Horner stared mesmerized at the partial skeleton of the carnivore.
“What in the world?” John and Tim stared blankly at Horner as he begun to explain.
“See the skeleton there. Its obviously smaller then her,” he pointed to the Giganitosaur still feeding her children, “Yet the partial skull clearly resembles her head. It was dead after the nest and clearly eaten. See those crushed bones? They couldn’t have been an injury from falling; it was attacked by her and then shattered by her bite. That is clearly the male Giganitosaur that disappeared three weeks ago! What a discovery, the dino praying mantis!” Horner was almost shaking with happiness.
“I have to get a closer look!” John whispered and walked toward the Giganitosaur.
Horner and Tim were in the car waving at them motioning them to get in. “Don’t worry I’ll be …” A twig snapped beneath John’s right foot. The Giganitosaur raised its head and roared.

Game Trail

John ran for the Explorer as the Giganitosaur burst through the foliage. As John jumped in the car it began to accelerate. Tim was in a state of panic as Horner was screaming. John flew to the back of the car and the trunk door flew open from impact. John luckily grabbed onto a rope securely tied to a knob in the in the car just as he flew out. John crashed through the foliage and wound his sides from tree impacts.
The roars began to fade but Tim didn’t notice. Tim nearly avoided crashing into a tree as he mind was racing. “I’m gonna die! I’m gonna die! I wish I never came! I wish I had never told John! I wish Hammond never attempted this stupid stunt. Now I’m gonna die! I hope I go to heaven. I hope… I wonder what’s Horner screaming about? Stop driving? Is he crazy?” Tim looked back and the Giganitosaur was nowhere to be seen. He finally stopped.
“You almost got us killed! Look at John!” Horner screamed at Tim as John climbed into the car groaning. He was bruised and cut with several thorns in his skin. Several bugs were smashed against his shirt. His shirt had several gashes in it and was splattered with blood and mud.
“That thing was going to kill us! If I hadn’t driven we would be dead! And John got what he deserved,” Tim continued to argue with Horner.
“John has never seen these creatures before! Do you would do what he did if this was your first time here?”
“Besides, I thought Ingen would tone their aggressiveness down, so they wouldn’t kill the visitors,” John weakly spoke to Tim who seemed greatly angered.
“Are you insane? Do you have the sense in you to understand? If they were peaceful dinos why do you think all those workers died? Ingen made these dinos to act like true dinos and a true Giganitosaur is a true hunter! Meaning he is threatening! He didn’t sit on sofas drinking tea with others! It was a hunter!” Tim was gasping for breath, “Why didn’t it kill us?”
“If didn’t want to because we didn’t take anything. If it did its young would be easy picking to Compys and the such,” Horner explained and what he did made sense, “Let me drive. It’s a wonder how you got your drivers license!” The Explorer jumped to a start as it continued through the jungle as John close the trunk.
Horner drove into a large path. The grass had been trampled by a number of feet. Tim had forgotten what the sun looked like. “Welcome to Game trail A! One of the two other game trails on this island,” Horner began driving down the trail and passed many dinosaurs which fell into panic. Several ceratopsians veered to the side to make room to this mysterious vehicle with several hadrosaurs and Gallimimus. “The first day they were so scared a Pachy rammed us. See that scratch? That’s how tough those things are. If this was a regular car you couldn’t sit there,” Horner chuckled as a herd of Brachiosaurs fell behind them.
“Wait, do we live on a game trail?” Tim felt panicky a little. If they did they would be in great danger.
“Oh no,” Horner was extremely relaxed for some reason, “We live in the valley. The game trail were on goes to the valley and then it’s about a two mile drive to camp.” The explorer entered into a vast clearing where numerous dinosaurs lived. The dots of camp began to appear before them.
Tim felt good lying in the bed after the excitement of the morning. He was sickly tired and slept for several hours. When he awoke it was late afternoon. John was taking a break and was properly taken care of by Ronald Harmy. Horner approached Tim with Carl. “Well, I was hoping to go with four but I guess its three now,” Horner sighed a depressed sigh.
“Go where?” Tim was still grumpy. He wanted to sleep for the rest of the day.
“Why, The High Hide!” Carl was extremely excited at the moment, “It’s a large observation area at the highest part of the island. You can see every thing because it’s above the trees! Lets get in the car already!”
The explorer drove up the cliff road. It was amazingly narrow and Tim was scared they would pummel down to the valley below. A glint of metal shown ahead of them.

High Hide

The Apatosaurs moaned near the riverbank as Tim watched in the small, medal, cage. The Parasaurs grazed peacefully around the herd as they watched their surroundings. Carl looked through the binoculars at the forest closest to the herd. A faint rustling was heard as a shadow passed the trees.

“Oww! Careful with the alcohol!” John lay down on the medical table as his arm was swabbed with alcohol.
“Your lucky it was just some bumps and bruises. I could of come out a lot worse. I feel sorry for the bugs,” Ronald reached into one of John’s injuries with a pair of tweezers and retrieved the remains of a beetle, “You’re gonna need to wash for a long time to get this beetle juice off.”
“Looks like he collected some herbivore manure,” Jessica held a cut out of clothing stained brown.
“That was my best shirt!” John stared at his stained shirt. A large hole indicated where the bottom used to be.
“The manure showed large content on lysine tablet consummation. Someone’s been feeding these animals,” Jessica had a stern look on her face as John and Ronald looked at each other.
“Can’t they survive on their own?” Ronald looked concerned. He knew it wasn’t Hammond for he didn’t control Ingen any longer.
“Yes they could. The manure should rich content of natural soy another food rich in this protein. The point is that someone out there is planting tablets. We’re not the only ones in this world.”

The Velociraptor ran out of the forest toward the herd of dinosaurs grazing by the river. A Parasaur cried a shrill, high, note and instantly all the Apatosaurs move to the outside of the herd the lone raptor was coming from. At this moment they left a gaping hole on the opposite side of the herd. Horner looked through his binoculars to see the rest of the pack watching the lone raptor distract the Apatosaurs. “They’re setting a distraction!” As the raptor leapt into the air, seven Velociraptor silently emerged from the forest and ran toward the gap in the herd. As the raptors leapt upon a single Parasaur the entire herd was thrown into panic. The entire herd attempted to get the raging carnivores of the Parasaur, when suddenly six other Velociraptor emerged and joined the leader and they attacked a second Parasaur. The first attack failed as one Velociraptor lay motionless on the ground, yet the second attack left a severely wounded Parasaur being devoured by thirteen carnivores. The herd retreated as the raptors dined in peace.
“Whoa! That was amazing!” Tim marveled at the grace of the raptors, and their intelligence. As each raptor finished their fill the gathered around the fallen raptor’s body. As each one surrounded the figure laying on the ground they began cooing one by one. As it went through the circle they began to screech louder and louder, then all was quite. “What in the world?”
“It seems to be a some sorta funeral!” Horner watched six raptors push the limp raptor into the river. The other seven pushed the remains of the kill into the river with the fallen pack member. The thirteen raptors swam along side of the floating bodies and into the jungle.
“Hey, Horner? Carl and I want to go back, do you want to come to?”
“No, I’ll stay here, I’ll call when I do” Horner looked across the valley at the setting sun. Tim and Carl climbed down the retractable ladder and drove off down the road.

Jessica typed rapidly as she searched through the Isla Sorna security cameras. “There! That jeep, I can bet you anything that those are lures filled with pills.”
“Why would Hammond feed them?” Ronald looked at Jessica then John who was still lying on the table.
“Hammond isn’t feeding them, he just lost control of Ingen, for good.”

Andrew Pikang

The canvas-top jeep rolled through the jungle, as Andrew continuously threw herbivore lures out the window. He had gotten so many anti-venom injections he was practically immune to Dilophosaur venom. He had gained control of Ingen when Hammond resigned from the role, and he gained an immense interest of Isla Sorna once he looked in the restricted files. He had always been an independent man and here he was throwing food out of a jeep.
The jeep burst into sunlight as Andrew continued to throw out bale into the valley. The Ceratopsians ran around bewildered by the noise of the gas-powered object. Trailers began popping up at the other end of the valley.

Horner looked out over the valley. Clouds of dust rolled over from the forest to the valley. He followed it and caught eye of a yellow jeep, skimming across the open ground. He picked up the phone and dialed a number.

Tim and Carl drove down the cliff path. The trees below were brimming with Compys rustling through the branches. Suddenly, a ringing phone broke the silence, Carl reached and answered, “Hello, this is Explorer number one. Please state your name.”
“Hey Carl this is Horner. Where are you?”
“Along Ridge Road,” Carl began motioning to Tim. Tim got out his wallet and handed him a five-dollar bill.
“There’s a jeep in the valley, I’m not sure who it is. Maybe you can identify it.”
“Could be Arby’s Explorer heading home.”
“No, it’s not ours. Carl if you’ve invited some of your friends you are leaving this island!” Horner hung up. Carl gave Tim back the money.

“Sir, you better come look at this,” the driver of the jeep pointed to the trailers they were approaching, “Were not along here!”
“What! Someone else on my island! Drive up close. I want to speak with them,” Andrew glared at the incoming trailers.

Jessica followed the jeep through the security cameras. Her concentration was disturbed when Robert looked at the trailer’s camera system. “Jessica, the jeeps heading right for us!” Jessica rolled to Robert as he pointed to one of the monitors. The yellow jeep was heading right for the trailer at incredible speed. They would be there in no more than one minute.
“Lets see who these punks really are!” Jessica opened a cabinet and took out a Snitch rifle and waited at the doorway.
“Jessica, what are you doing?”
“Diminishing the threat to these animals!” Jessica cocked the rifle, just then the door flew open, and Jessica pointed the gun right at Andrews chest, “If the poison doesn’t get you the dart will. What are you doing in are trailer?”
“What are you doing on my island,” Andrew looked at Jessica with pure hatred, “four-eyes?”
“Why you little!” Jessica almost pulled the trigger when Tim and Carl drove up.
Carl swung out of the car after Tim, “What in tarnation is going on? A showdown?”
“This guy making a butt out of himself!” Jessica pointed the gun higher directly under his chin, “Take one more step further and you’ll never have to eat again!”
“Can’t we all settle this like decent humans?” Andrew looked around the Trailer. Then he caught eye of John, “I see you’ve had a loss. At my camp there have been zero casualties!”
“Leave John out of this!” Tim stepped up to Andrew, “You better explain to us why you’re here or else you’ll be down there!”
“Alright. I’ll tell you.”

Request

Andrew was bent over the microscope, examining the enzymes that lay in the translucent slab. Hammond had been intrigued by his genetic works and had hired him months ago. He has been working on his current project for a cure of Intestinal Cancer ever since Hammond had hired him. His constant failure has led him to enzymes produced by the common fruit bat. At the present moment there was a knocking on the door.
“Come in,” Andrew turned from the microscope to see the open and reveal his friend Anthony, who works in the personal lab next to him.
“Hey Andy! So are you coming? Hammond’s retirement speech is about to begin!” that was the day when Hammond decided to leave his position at Ingen.
“Uhh, I forgot! I’ll be right with you!” Andrew began taking off his lab coat as he murmured under his breath, “That old coot.” Anthony followed Andrew through the halls.

“…I believe persistence is a strong quality in running a company. If you don’t have the will to move forward, your company shall not succeed,” everyone sat on their chairs staring at Hammond as he read the final paragraph of his farewell speech, “This leads to a special request. Traditionally the company will be passed down to my heirs, but since they have little interest in my doings I have selected a person to run the company. This person showed a great persistence when he failed, a persistence like none other, one that rivals my own,” everyone in the audience became interested in what Hammond was going to say next. Andrew on the other hand had fallen asleep, “This person I had hired personally is… Andrew Pikang!”

Andrew was looking through the confidential files that morning. He was almost through the I cabinet.
“Improved Iodine Medication, Invaluable Fertilizer Modification, Invertebrate Stomach Study, Ion Effected Rhinoceros Horns, IQ Increaser. Isla Nublar Project?” Andrew removed the file and took out a details paper, “The Isla Nublar Project was an attempt to use bioengineering for amusement. Stated on the Island of Isla Nublar, cloned dinosaurs would be exhibited and watched through several rides. Though attempted to show the visitors the art of cloning, the true cloning facility lies on a second island Isla Sorna. The dinosaurs then reached maturity and then shipped off to Isla Nublar. To prevent breeding and escape of the island all animals were cloned female and Lysine deficient. I will update on the successfulness of the park,” He looked at the date. It was 7/9/89.
Andrew looked through the files of his team. He was so intrigued by the document he had organized an expedition to Isla Nublar, then Isla Sorna. Richard Taylor weapons specialist, Hedwig Mernoid vehicle specialist, Samantha Goly dinosaur specialist, Martro Kono medical specialist, and Harold Gabit field advisor. Everything was ready and they would leave tomorrow.
The ship sailed through the ocean toward Isla Nublar. The island appeared over the horizon. As they approached they noticed that the island was extremely black and had very little vegetation. As they walked upon the Island they could see several buds popping out of the surface. As they walked they came to a large pit in the ground. “A crater? This place was bombed! Team move back,” Andrew began walking back to the boat, his entire team followed.

“And then I was here,” Andrew looked at all the stern faces around him.
“Yet you still haven’t told us why you’re here,” Jessica still held the rifle in her hand but wasn’t pointing it at Arnold.
“Well…” Suddenly they heard a helicopter approaching the island.
“Is that one of your choppers?” Tim looked at him scornfully.
“No! Helicopters aren’t convenient for transporting supplies!”
“Then who is it?” They all began running out the door as they saw the helicopter nearing them.

Visitor

The helicopter began to land, blowing up a large cloud of dust. Tim jumped into an explorer before anyone could stop him. The explorer rushed through the tall grass toward the slowing blades of the helicopter. As he neared it he recognized it as the chopper he had arrived on. “Could it be?”

Arby sat in the Explorer as he looked over at the helicopter. Dinosaurs ran in all directions as he picked up the radio. “Jessica, this is Arby, are you there?”
“I’m here all right. What is it?”
“A helicopter just landed near camp, did you see it?”
“Were all outside looking at it. Tim ran off visiting it.”
“Wow! I was just about to ask you to send him over. Radio him to see what’s going on.” Arby set the radio down and continued to look at the helicopter.

Tim stopped the explorer and got off. A young woman stepped out from the door and turned to Tim with a smile.
“Francine! What are you doing here?”
“Well I’m took time off at the university to see your grandfather Hammond. When he told me you were here I asked your sister Lex to fly me over! So what’s going on in your expedition?” Francine looked around the field and caught eye of a herd of Brachiosaurs.
“Francine, you have to go back! This place is much to…” Tim saw what Francine was looking at, “Oh no! Look Francine if you don’t go back you may die!”
“Are those what I think they are?” She slowly walked out into the field as Tim jumped into the helicopter.
“Lex, how can you do this?”
“It’s a girl thing. I owed her when she found me my fiancé!” Lex looked out the helicopter cockpit, “You may want to look out her. She can get hurt.”
“You’re getting married?!” Tim slipped his hand into his pants pocket fingering the ring case within, “Can you please take her back?”
“But I promised her that I would pick her up in three months!”
“One month Lex. That’s the most.”
“Fine, one.”

Arby began driving down Ridge Road. It gave him memories when he was on the Site B expedition. He looked out into the valley and glanced at the helicopter. He knew they were going to house one more for the night. He then looked up and saw the pteranodons flying overhead. A storm was approaching the island.

Tim and Francine began driving back to the trailers, Tim concerned. “Why Francine?”
“Because I love you Tim and I want to be with you. This is one of the few chances I can be on an expedition with you,” Francine looked out the window and marveled at the dinosaurs roaming beside them, “It’s amazing you’re part of this research operation.”
As they pulled next to the trailers everyone began rushing toward the explorer. Tim opened the door and got out, “Guys this is Francine, my girlfriend. She’ll be staying with us for the next month. I know what you’re going to say, but it’s only a month so don’t worry.” Everyone looked at Francine confused.
The gray clouds turned dark as thunder rumbled in the distance. Tim was on the phone with Hammond as everyone talked to Francine.
“Why did you tell her to come here when you complain of people finding out!?” Tim whispered afraid that Francine would hear.
“You guys are getting married! She would learn sooner or later. I just made it sooner,” Hammond’s voice seemed casual on the phone. Tim was disgusted.
“I am not getting marr…”
“What about the ring?”
“Tha…”
“And the magazines?”
“Ehh…”
“I wasn’t going to tell her a thing till we got to know each other. After that I knew you two would be married so I just told her where you were,” A light rain began pattering against the trailer.
“I’ll call you back,” Tim then hung-up the phone.
Everyone gathered around Francine answering questions. Everyone but Andrew, he stood looking around the trailer. Francine then asked, “How do you keep dinosaurs away from the trailer?”
“We enhanced Giganitosaur urine so it seemed as if it was the territory of a really mean Giganitosaur. We poured it around a small area away from the facilities. Keeps them away really well! At first they were extremely hostile to the trailers, so we would ‘herd’ them away from the trailers with the Explorers till Robert came up with the urine idea,” Jessica sat on the bunk next to Francine.
“Wouldn’t it wear off sooner or later?”
“It can wash off I guess,” Jessica suddenly looked concerned and stared at the splattering rain on the windows, “But when that happens we reapply some as soon as possible.”

The Ankylosaur sniffed the ground near the trailers. It honked loudly and continued to advance with another following. A group of Triceratops continued on the other side.

Andrew looked up at the monitors wide eyed. A single monitor showed the advance of the Triceratops. “Guys, are you sure you don’t want to move these trailer?”
“Why? Is something bothering you?”
“Oh nothing, besides the fact several herbivores are coming in to kill us!”
“What?” Jessica shoved Andrew out of the way and looked at the monitor. Just in time to see the triceratops beginning to charge.

River

Arby gaped in horror at what was going on ahead of him. The trailer rocked slightly as a single Triceratops banged against the side. The others charged afterwards and the trailer leaned even more. Arby took out his rifle and aimed.

Carl ran toward the front of the trailer and turned the ignition on. The engine roared to life and Carl began to get the trailer to move. The triceratops scattered and the Ankylosaurs lumbered trying to avoid the moving object. Then suddenly everything turned off! The lights went out, the systems were down and worst off all the cameras were shutdown.
“What the hell happened?!” Carl looked over the dashboard questionably, “Why did we shutdown?”
“We were using the computer to look at the video images and we moved the trailer a little so the cord got pulled and we left the computer on through the evening with the plus amount of the monitors and the other stuff in here so with the driving we must of drained the battery!” Suddenly the trailer began to be thrashed around once again. Pots and pans came clattering to the floor. The windows turned to a breaking spider web, falling apart on the victims below.
Tim stared at the closet by the beds, and remembered the flares of the morning.

Arby began driving toward the beaten trailer. The herbivores continued to smash at the strange “animal”. Arby turned off the headlights and silently drove forward and stopped. He raised the rifle and slid a cartridge of ammunition. As he took aim he fired a shot at a triceratops that had just collided into the trailer. It turned in pain at the smaller object. A flash of lightning briefly showed a small amount of blood flowing down the hindquarters. The triceratops began to charge at the object as the two others swiveled to join. Arby began driving away when a brilliant flash appeared behind him. “Oh freak!” He swerved to avoid the falling flare and the car rushed into the river. Arby head hit the steering wheel and fell unconscious.

“We almost hit Arby!” Carl motioned for another flare, “One more well positioned one to get them away!” He raised the gun when suddenly the trailer rocked again.
“What the?” Jessica looked at the window just as the club came coming down. The trailer shook and everyone was knocked back again, “The ankys are back.”
Carl tried to fire but was instantly knocked down to his feet. As he tried to get up he was thrown back down.

Horner looked through the night-vision goggles horrified. He clicked on the radio, “Are you there?” There was only the hiss of static. Damn, he took out a flare gun, “we won’t need it here they say. Its just extra weight, they say.” He aimed the flare just outside of the trailer. One false move and that trailer will blow!

“The flare descended down toward the Ankylosaurs. It began to swerve in the wind and became unsteady. It spun out of control. The targets loomed fifty yards away.

The flare landed under the Ankylosaur. Caught by the sudden light beneath it the Ankylosaur panicked and swerved, the tail recklessly hitting the windshield. Carl had enough time to raise the gun and fire out the window. The flare skimmed the black bars and hit the last Ankylosaur on the head. It shook as if to get his head clear and then began to lumber away. “Arby!”
“Who?”

The triceratops rammed into the Explorer, partly submerged in the river. The explorer rocked and sloshed back into the river. The triceratops charged again, causing a small dent. The windows broke.
Both triceratopses charged hitting the Explorer at the same time. The explorer turned over and began to slide into the river.

Carl began to zoom toward the triceratopses, holding the flare gun in his hand. The triceratopses scattered and tried to charge Carl. The flare gun fired and a streak of red came toward the triceratopses. It landed in front of them. Startling the group, they raised up and hollered dashing into the river.

Arby awoke hanging upside-down. He heard a slow dripping sound. Drip……drip……drip. He looked down and gasped. He saw many objects floating in the water that submerged half of the car’s roof. Swirling in the murky water was blood, dripping from his head. He unbuckled his seat belt and splashed in to the water below. Grabbing hold of a white box he retrieved some gauze and strung it around his head. It instantly soaked with blood. He knew that the windows wouldn’t function; he knew the entire car wouldn’t function. He climbed to the back as the water slowly rose. The car began to rise.

Carl pressed on the acceleration pedal and the explorer began to drive in reverse. The second one began to rise from the river. He looked up and saw, a Spinosaur.

Fishing

The Spinosaur looked down into the river. Carl continued to pull Arby out of the river. That’s when the Spinosaur dove; his head came out seconds later with a glinting hook in his jaws. Began to walk when suddenly the chord pulled taught. It then pulled the cars sliding toward the river. Carl panicked, he knew there wasn’t a chance he would beat this beast. But still he tried.

Horner flared his nostrils and took in a lungful of air. Smoke. He looked up at the direction of the labs. The storm had stopped and the moon shone clearly as a column of smoke rose in the distance.

Arby pushed toward the back further. “What’s happening? Why am I going deeper?” His mind raced fearing the death that would await him. The water began to spill into the back. He pushed as far as possible. He then saw the rifle sitting in the back. He took it and thought.

Tim drove toward the north, trying to find and area to cross the river. The river itself was beginning to split into streams but still no crossing area. He continued the veered left and splashed through the shallow streams and continued. The gas powered jeep started to rumble toward the place of the tug-o-war. Then he stopped, a herd of Styracosaurs slept soundly. The only way around was the forest he looked beyond the slumbering creatures and saw the Spinosaur continuing to pull. He clutched the clippers, he had to. He slowly advanced through the Styracosaurus herd.

“What is he doing?” Robert stuck his head out the window looking at the jeep on the other side of the river, driving through the herd, “Didn’t you give the two the research evaluation?”
“I intended to do it tomorrow!” Jessica looked up from John, hoping he didn’t suffer too much from the previous experiences.
“Lets just hope he doesn’t learn the hard way.” He continued to look on.

Arby sat thinking, a little voice in his head continued to chant, “Keep cool Arby. Think Arby, think. You were smart in your youth and your smart now. Think. You can do this. The thing must be living to pull you down.”
“That’s it!” Arby hurried up and unscrewed a small knob off the wall and screwed in his rifle. He then began to turn the sniper scope to match a medium hole. The plug in was evidently flexible with an accordion pyramid rubber surrounding a plastic screw in. Arby began turning around put in an ammo cartridge and fired a bullet.

The spinosaurs roared in surprise, finding him under attack he instantly began sprinting away, with the hook caught on his tooth. The explorers began to head for the river faster.

Tim continued to drive slowly through the herd. Then he saw a gap. He began to speed up but right at two miles an hour all of the Styracosaurs woke-up and began to charge the car. The jeep didn’t yield. It instantly became dented and began to fall apart. Tim tried charging through the herd. The Styracosaurs instantly fled and Tim was through. He cam to the chord grabbed the clippers and cut the line. The Spinosaur ran at full speed toward the forest. Carl gave a thumbs up to Tim across the river. The second explorer was almost completely submerged.

Arby breathed the small amount of air. The explorer instantly began to rise. And Arby became more relived than ever. He was safe.

Camp

They were all sitting in the trailer discussing their positions. Horner sat on the bunk next to Tim and Carl. Arby stood up and reviewed with every one of their current positions of their current positions. Andrew had gone back in a dented jeep, Tim having to pay for his repairs. Suddenly a crash of doors and Andrew and his driver burst through the door.
“He’s back again!” Jessica rolled her eyes in disgust as Andrew maid a face at her. She stuck her tongue at him. He rolled his eyes the same way.
“Look how immature!”
“Stop this now and tell us wants going on!” Arby walked in between the two and shoved them away.
“What I really meant to do before I was rudely interrupted was to tell you that an accident happened at camp while away.”
“What type of accident?”
“Bad. And I regret saying this, but… I think I need to stay here.”
“First let us see the wreck.”

The green Explorer rumbled into a clearing next to the lab. As the trees parted a grotesque scene was before them. Tents were burning all around the lab and dead bodies lay everywhere, some still clutching machine guns. Some were dismembered, others were whole and some only hands were left. The silence was interrupted by an oil-drum exploding and sailing into the night sky. Arby veered the jeep out of the way as it came crashing down to earth.
“What caused the attack?” Tim looked on at the burning wrecks. He knew what ever it was it would stay away.
“I don’t know. It probably is most plausible that it was a Tyrannosaur,” Andrew looked onward at his expedition.
“It probably was,” Arby got out and looked around the wreckage. A set of three toed tracks shown in the mud. They were fresh. He followed them into the wreck and continued to look around the wreck to see the footprints come out of the wreck limping, “Did you leave the workers instructions?”
“Yeah, shoot at anything threatening. I knew the Tyrannosaurs move to and fro around the camp but they had recently eaten so I thought they weren’t gonna leave the nest.”
“They aren’t feeding themselves. Their young must of hatched now.”

A threatening roar came from the forest. They salvaged all they could from the wreck itself, and journeyed back to the trailers.

Lab

The Explorer rumbled through the jungle, ferns crashing as it went. It was now midnight and the only light came from the headlights and the fire behind them. They suddenly crashed into a mangrove root and went crashing into the forest. The headlights went out.

A flashlight turned on as four people walked through the abandoned lab. The concrete walls loomed above them like a dark phantom. A sudden crash startled them all thinking it was the Rex but as the flashlight revealed the cause it was nothing but a collapsed wall.
“I think we should check on David,” a female at the book looked uneasily around, blowing on her hands for warmth.
“We left five minutes ago! He’s fine Sharon, what could happen?”
“Lots of things, wall collapsing, raptor attacks, the rex!”
“Sharon just please,” a scream suddenly came from behind them and they all ran toward David.

The glass shook as the Velociraptor pounded against it. David stared at it in fear as it continued to throw itself against the glass. Suddenly in leapt three raptors through a collapsed wall. My god, it’s a distraction! Suddenly a gunshot was fired and a raptor fell down. The other raptors, confronted by the new menace retreated out the wall. Then all was quite.
The group retreated further into the lab, settling David on an office desk; they retreated the gash on his leg and continued exploring the lab.

Andrew groaned as he woke up. The last thing he remembered was driving down the road. He tried to wake up Arby and Tim when I bright light shined in at them. It suddenly went away. Andrew knew there were survivors, he needed to save them. He got out of the car and began to run toward the lab.

p.s. Andrew crazy. And constructive criticsm and ideas are welcome (very welcome).

Death

Andrew hiked through the foliage as fast as he could. A dark world engulfed him, only being guided by the flickering light of the fire, which was still at lest 200 yards away, if not more. He still could make it. Suddenly he saw something ahead of him. He crept slowly and closer. He could hear rasping breaths coming from the jaws, the jaws of the tyrannosaur.

Tim woke up to see the world swirling around him. Everything seemed out of perspective. Three animals scampered along the underbrush. “Just Compys,” he thought. Suddenly he realized, somewhere in his mind, these were velociraptors. For the first time he looked around the Explorer. Andrew wasn’t in the back! Arby was still unconscious. He tried to wake him up, but Arby stayed in his mental state. He knew he should find Andrew, but he just wanted to sleep. The more he thought of it, the sleepier he got. He at last drifted of to a peaceful slumber as the raptors entered the forest.

Andrew looked on at the fallen giant, the sour odor smelled of defeat. Every few seconds it would utter what seemed like a half-hearted roar. Andrew began to back away from the dinosaur when he heard a slight panting behind him and saw the forms of three velociraptors. They slowly approached him, silent as nothing, clouds of vapor escaping from their nose. Andrew knew about velociraptors, they’re extremely intelligent and could coordinate attack sequences. He suddenly realized that one might be sneaking up behind him. He swiveled around to only see the great bulk of the tyrannosaur. That’s when the attack started. The center raptor charged and jumped at him. Andrew only had enough time to swivel around and see the glint of the claws against moonlight. He felt the velociraptors head crash into his stomach as he suddenly flew back against the rough hide of the tyrannosaur. The velociraptor landed with a thump on the ground, instantly getting up. Andrew began to climb the abdomen of the tyrannosaur. The raptors stared up at him, out of amazement or confusion he never knew. They then regained their senses and jumped onto the tyrannosaur. A claw dug into the underbelly and with all it’s might the tyrannosaur roared.

The tyrannosaur bounded along the wreck, every few seconds turning toward the nest. A feeling of insecurity loomed around it. With jerking movements, it continued down the plain of fire. A sudden roar came from the forest, and the tyrannosaur suddenly began crashing into the foliage.

Arby woke up suddenly. He looked around the explorer just like Tim, and just like Tim found that Andrew was missing. Arby shook Tim vigorously. When he didn’t come to he pinched him. Tim shot up suddenly and looked around, “Andrew’s gone! He’s somewhere, I don’t know. I didn’t see! I… I…”
Arby pointed out the window. In the dark they could se a large part in the undergrowth. Snapped branches littered the ground and the fronds of the low-lying ferns were crumpled. “Certainly not the best forester in the world.” The explorer slowly rolled around and went back on the overgrown road.

The velociraptors snarled at Andrew. He searched for a weapon, nothing on him, and nothing around him. He was doomed. Suddenly the raptors hesitated. The looked around them in fear. Andrew felt it to, slight vibrations ran under his feet, something big was coming. The female tyrannosaur crashed into the clearing, it’s jaws wrapped around a velociraptors neck. The two others attempted to run away, but a mighty tail swooped down and they fell down face first onto the ground. The tyrannosaur pinned one down with its foot as it tore the other one to shreds. As all three lay on the ground dead, the tyrannosaur looked down at Andrew. Before Andrew could react a giant foot smashed down on to him. A sudden searing pain in his back and chest enveloped him as his face was planted into the earth. The weight of the tyrannosaur continued to crush down on him when the sudden smell of rotting meat came about and the jaws lowered.

The Explorer went on back and forth looking for a place of entry. They could see faint signs of the tyrannosaur. There was a small break in the trees that the explorer suddenly roared into toward the tyrannosaur. It was nearly pitch dark as Tim vainly shown the flash light out of the window. With great suddenness the explorer broke into the sight of the tyrannosaur. Arby took the loaded gun out from the back seat as Tim took the wheel. With a great u-turn Tim drove out of the clearing. The tyrannosaur hesitated then chased after the mysterious object leaving Andrew just as helpless as the wounded giant that lay beside him.
