Here's a poem for people who've been waiting for me to tell of how I got the nickname, "Green".
Here's some info ya have to know first:
In the Korean War, it was snowing. So they wore white. In the Vietnam War, they were in jungle-like territory. They wore...green.
Springing into class
30 seconds late
Rushing to grab my seat behind the Wolf.
The knowledgeable Social Studies teacher starts class.
Drawing on my notes,
not paying attention
In "La la Land"
A question from the teacher comes through
"What color did they wear in the Korean War?"
Like the brain of the class,
I raised my hand to touch the clouds.
Teacher nodded towards me.
"Green!" I said eagerly.
I was thrown of course by Dreamworld,
And the students screeched and squealed in laughter.
Even the Wolf howled in laughter.
I was puzzled. What was so funny?
Then the teacher said,
"That's just like standing up and yelling, Shoot me! Shoot me!"
Now I knew.
I turned a bright red.
Green was my new label...

What did ya think? I think of it as funny now. And my teacher still calls me Green!
